Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do we cover?
We are based in Glasgow, Scotland but we are happy to travel at an additional cost! Feel free to ask us for a quote and please give specific location details and times for us to locate your venue and give the best quote we can. Here you can find a useful link to some venues across Glasgow and the west. Here is also a Glasgow Life venue finder which is very good!
How do I book?
Bookings can be made any time of the day/night on our website, this is the quickest and easiest way to secure your booking. Please ensure that your venue has enough space to set up the equipment you have hired. Alternatively, you can email us on info@splashinflatables.com or call the office on 0141 370 1986 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Do I need generators for my party/event?
Please ensure there is an adequate power supply available on site to power the equipment. You will only need generators if your party is outdoors and you have no safe access to a power source. If this is the case we can add on generators to your quote for an extra charge. We usually like to leave a staff member on site when you need a generator too. More information on Power supply and generators can be found here: Power Supply & Generators
Do I need staff from Splash Inflatables to supervise the activities for my event?
Some of our inflatables come supervised by ourselves due to insurance requirements, however we can leave some inflatables for yourselves to supervise if you have responsible adults to do so. Instructions will be given as to the safe operation of the inflatables. We charge £30/hour per staff member for our supervision.
How long do I get the inflatable for?
Each inflatable is priced based on a standard 4-hour hire with the exception of Disco Domes which are based on a 6-hour hire and our simulator hire is based on 3 hours.
Additional hours can be added for an extra charge.
Payment Details
We require a 50% booking fee at the time the booking is made. The remaining balance is due 10 days before the booking date.

Artificial Grass/Hard Surfaces
Inflatables are anchored outdoors using pegs which are hammered into the natural grass.
If there is no natural grass at the location the British Standard BS EN 14960 states that a weight of 163 kg must be placed on every anchor point - a standard bouncy castle has 6 anchor points - so each anchor point would require approximately 7 x 25 kg bags of sand.
Therefore, a total of 42 bags of sand would be required to anchor a standard bouncy castle. This is just over 1 tonne of sand to secure 1 inflatable.
Given the weight limit permitted in a transit van this would be impossible for us to carry out as each of our vans are often loaded to set up multiple bouncy castles per day.
This would also cause safety concerns for our staff due the huge increase with lifting these 42 weights to and from the van multiple times. Due to all of the factors stated above, we have made the decision to not hire bouncy castles outdoors where there are full sandbag weights required.
