Garden Suitability Guide

We have created this useful guide to help you decide if your garden will be suitable for an inflatable or not.

Natural grass is perfect for securing a bouncy castle. The grass must be firm and our pegs must be secure.

There are some surfaces that an inflatable is unsuitable for.

We refuse gardens for the following unsuitable surfaces.

Driveways or carparks with slabs or Monoblock or tar mac are unsuitable as there is no place to secure the anchor points. We would not use sandbags to secure.

If we can tie each anchor point off to your fence posts, we may be able to set up in your garden subject to you sending in some photos for us to check over.
Artificial grass where there is no-where to tie each anchor point to the fence posts. There must be access to the fence posts at the bottom 1ft from the ground.

Steep slopes are unsuitable but if you have a slight slope in the garden, this is ok.

If you have some dirt in the garden, we can peg into this. Please let us know beforehand so we can ensure that we bring a ground sheet to protect the ground and our inflatable.

Half on and Half off concrete and grass areas are unsuitable.

Chippy stones can be suitable however you would need to be certain that the ground underneath the stones is suitable to take a 28cm peg. If we arrive and our delivery staff can't get a peg into the ground, we would have to drive away unfortunately as the inflatable would not be safe.

Wet soggy ground is not suitable as the pegs come out too easily in wind.

A standard inflatable can be used in up to 24mph wind. However we reserve the right to reduce the wind speed mile per hour threshold. This would be dependant on the particular circumstances of the hire for example how open to the elements that the site is, the quality of the surface and any other safety factors which would be included in our on-site risk assessment.

If you are still unsure if your garden is suitable or not please send in some images to us via email or facebook and we can take a look. We will do our best to look at your pictures as soon as we can but lease be aware that in busy periods it might take a day or 2 to look at your photos.
